    Soil PH tester

If you're using peat/perlite, the pH will be fairly acidic. pH is unlikely to be the cause.

    Soil PH tester

I'm not sure of the practical need for measuring soil pH. What's your reason? pH tape would be the cheapest.

    Mites killing pings?

I've had that happen with some of my smaller pings. Maybe bad watering technique? The mites might attack unhealthy plants.

    Cephalotus from seed

PPM is for when you have gross contamination or when you're not confident of your technique. Plus then you have to use PPM in the medium.

    Cephalotus from seed

I used the Phytotech Cape sundew germination powder. You can look it up on their website. Not sure if I took off the tufts, you want to avoid touching the seeds.

    Pro Mix BX

It is full of minerals and is for average garden plants. Deadly to CP's. Get a small cube of Canadian milled peat, cheap and easily available. Mix with 1:1 perlite. Use pure (not Toronto tap water! Distilled is good) water. Don't inhale the dust.

Species have a kind of historical purity to them, like a first edition.

How to avoid mold on seedlings?

How to avoid mold on seedlings?

I get that too, but not all the time. I think it's algae, It's yucky looking but not toxic. I think it may smother the seeds/plants when it's thick so I wipe or pick it off or repot as needed. If you "float" the roots out with distilled water, the root damage is minimal.

    Pressure cooker

Phytotech has a good article (a bit over our heads!). They recommend a pressure cooker from 10-20 psi.

    Keeping cultures cool

Also if you have any room that is A/C, you can can stick a moderate number of bottles under a bed or in a closet where they are out of the way. You don't need a lot of light, just enough for growth regulation, most of the energy comes from the sugar.
