oooh yes I was so determined, They are incredibly finicky and I like to get them from when they are seedlings so I know they are use to the soil mixture they’re are in as they grow it won’t be problem re-potting. Mine ones in perlite/peat mix with LFS.

I do know they need slight temperature drop at night 4 to 5 C drop.

currently in my setup I’ve got High 79/80F 25C with 80% humidity- bring that temp up air temp to around 28C.
then night time I get 20C.

I got my baby Ceph from Willy
@WillyCKH told me he keeps his Cephs all year around in similar set up to this and his Cephs without dormancy. So I’m going to follow this protocol and see if I can get it to climatise

Just my two cents into this. Watch your water. Looks way to wet. Have you tried a more open media? 60 % perlite 30% vermiculite, 10 % fluval Stratum and 10 % sand.

This is a very safe mix if you over water it will always drain. Remember carnivorous plants live in a extremely poor soil. You can always feed your plant. The good thing about this soil recipe is that, nothing will spoil, if over water it will be fine and there will be not rotting from the peat moss., and still will give the plant the necessary root humidity. One last thing your plant will grow way faster.

Cheers

Cheers :) my Ceph doesn’t sit in water now. Waiting for soil to get dry before water. Just gets misted with water

Ceph is growing well now. More pitchers growing Every so often baby pitchers die up but I guess it’s part of new growth. As one is a yellow colour.
Hi Mimi not to make a big deal out of this but in my opinion that is crazy wet soil still. By the way you mentioned that your are watering your Ceph at the moment is, only by misting right? I am not really sure if others here had success misting the cephalotus but I would not recommend that at all. My Cephs had been with me for more than 15 years and I had never mist them once. I do grow them inside terrariums to keep humidity high though, and extremely open medium mix I will try to post pictures when I come back from holidays. Cheers and good luck.

I find spray you cephs or not spraying your cephs quite a debatable topic, generally avoid spraying my cephs but spraying it occasionally will not hurt. ;)
